Bergen: The land where God washes the city!

Indeed I used to here of it right from the time I was contmplating of coming to Norway that you are going to a rainy, windy and cold city. But one thing that my informants did not fail to let me know is the fact that this is the most beautiful city in Norway!
Indeed It is very beautiful. Its beauty comes form the fact that its sorrounded by seven mountains.

The mountains are as follows

1. Ulriken

This is the tallest mountain 631 mts high with aclear view of the whole city!

2. Floyen

This is the mountain that is right behind our building where we stay. Its 399m high. It has a train that can take you upwards for only 35kr.

3. Sandviksfjellet,

292m above sea level with stair cases to the top.

other mountains include Lovstakken (477m), Lyderhorn (396m), Damsqaardsfjellet (284m), Rundemanen (560m).

Sand Volleyball

This was a game like day! It was quite interesting to learn that culture is very dynamic just as people are. It always depends on who sets the rules of the game and sometimes the rules keep changing depending on who is in control. The question is how adaptable are we to different cultures despite the changing environments and people sometimes? I discovered as we played the card game that I can easily adjust to the changes and play with different people dispite of the changing rules and procedures!!
Volleyball is quite interesting in Norway not because this is a new country for me but because it is played in sand!! We had a wonderful moment playing the HALD cup tournament today and am really grateful that our team 3 won and is awaiting the semis tomorrow!

Sometimes because of the nature of the sand the ball would drible past somebody and You have to pick it as you lose the points!!
And at other times being keen and quick action was needed!
Kaa keen sasa!!
You could serve well as you encourage others!!
Running was of the essence even though it is hard in sand!
Victory comes finally!
Welton thanks for scoring with me!!
Yes!! You did it!! celebrate the victory!!
The food at 6pm is quite interesting! That is supper here! Bread jammed and juice! In Kenya I could be eating food!! Ugali and some chicken maybe? This makes me miss hoem terribly!! Anyway it was good to have come to experience a new culture and to do what God had wanted me to do!
Some people fell but that was the interesting bit of the whole game!!
